Build Channel

You can easily build and edit your Channels.

Updated over a week ago

Note: any time you make changes to your Channels (add, remove, edit) that you want to be live you must Publish the changes.

New Channel

You can create as many Channels as you'd like.

To Create New Channel:

  1. Go to Channels tab

  2. Click the + New Channel button

    • Optional: Create in New Project if you want to start a new Project from Channels

Select Layout

There are various layouts you can choose from. Click the desired layout.

Below are examples of what each published version will look like.

Playlist:

Video Posting

This version will starts as a grid and then open in this view when a video is played:

Build Playlist or Grid Layout

The Playlist and Grid options are categorized by Sections.

Add Section

To Add a Section:

  1. Click + Add Section button

  2. Name Section

  3. Click the pencil icon to retitle the section

Remove Section

To Remove a Section:

  1. Click trash can icon to the right

Add Content

You will need to add your desired videos to each section.

  1. Click + Add Content button

  2. Optional: search or filter to a specific subset of videos

  3. Click which videos you'd like to include in that section

  4. Click Add # button to insert them into your section

  5. Optional: Drag and drop the order of videos in a section or the section titles to adjust the order

Remove Content

You can remove content you no long wish to include.

To Remove Content:

  1. Click trash can icon in the video.

Build Video Post

Add Contributor

Video Postings are categorized by Contributor. To add videos to your Video Posting select which Contributors you want to include. There is no limit to the number you can add but we recommend between 3 to 5 Contributors per Video Posting.

To Add Contributor:

  1. Click + Add Contributor button

  2. Type Name, Email or Title of desired Contributor in the search box

  3. Click Contributor you would like to include

    • Optional: You can edit the display name or title

  4. Repeat until you have added all desired Contributors

Remove Contributor

If you no longer want a Contributor included in your Video Posting, you can remove them.

To Remove Contributor:

  1. Click the trash can icon next to their initials and title

Add Content

After you select your Contributors, you need to decide which videos you'd like to include in your Video Posting.

To Add Content:

  1. Click + Add Content button

  2. Click the Videos you want to include

    • Optional: You can search, filter or select all of the videos for that Contributor

  3. Click Add # button

  4. A preview of your Channel will display as you start to add Content

    • Note: the i icon will display the Contributor, Topic and Date the video was completed. You can adjust the Cover Text if desired by clicking the pencil icon.

Remove Content

You can remove videos you no longer want in your Video Posting.

To Remove Content:

  1. Click the trash can icon on the video you want to remove

Settings

You can add and adjust various settings of your Channel to give more details about the channel, how it should be branded or where it should be displayed. Some settings will be dependent on the layout selected.

General

All of the fields under General except Name are optional sections or settings you can choose to include.

Name: the name of the Channel

Description: additional text you'd like to use to describe the Channel

Location: where the job is located (video posting)

Compensation: job compensation (video posting)

Experience Level: desired experience level for the role (video posting)

Tags: any other data point you'd like to use to organize your Channel

Project: you can connect your CHannel with a specific Project

Hide on Career Site: toggle on if using the Wednesday career site and you do not want the Channel included on that page

CTA Button: toggle on if you'd like to include a Call to Action on the Channel

To Add CTA:

  1. Enter URL into URL box

  2. Click Save button

  3. Add desired Button Text to box

  4. Click Save button

Branding

Branding gives you customization options, including a logo and color scheme for your Channel. Your Channel will automatically default to your Company Default settings.

To Select a Different Brand Template:

  1. Click the drop-down for Company Default

  2. Select desired Brand Template

To adjust Logo Options:

  1. Upload the desired logo into the Page logo box

  2. Click desired color of the Logo Backdrop

To Adjust Color Options:

  1. Click color box and choose desired Page Color

  2. Click color box and choose desired Accent Color

Widget

If you want a Channel to appear on a webpage or a Job Post page as a widget, you can configure that here. Note: The Widget code must be added to your Webpage or Job Posts to use this.

Widget Display Location: the URL of the Webpage or Job Post you want the Channel widget to appear on

To Add Widget Display Location:

  1. Select URL of Web or Job Post page

  2. Paste into the URL of Page box

  3. Click Save

Widget Cover Text: the text shown when the widget is minimized. If nothing is added the text will default to Meet the Team!

To Change Widget Cover Text:

  1. Enter desired text into the Widget Cover Text box

Size of Minimized Widget: the size and placement of the widget when it's minimized. You can adjust size, placement of right or left on the page, right margin and left margin.

Preview

As you create or edit your Channel you can Preview how it will look prior to Publishing it.

To Preview:

  1. Click the Preview Button

    • Note: the Preview link is also a good option to share with your team for review so that analytics don't get tracked during the review process.

Link

You can access the direct link to your Channel from this page. This link can be shared.

To Open:

  1. Click the link button

Publish

Once you are ready for your Channel to go live, you must Publish it. You also must click Publish on your Channel any time you make changes if you want them to be viewable on your live link.

To Publish:

  1. Click the Publish button
