Distribution Ideas
Updated over a week ago

There are multiple ways to distribute your Channels in front of your target audience.

Top of Funnel Outreach

  • Absent any context on a given search, sharing a channel of your team describing an open role, the team, and what it's like to work at the company, is a great way to grab attention from candidates that may not be inclined to schedule time with you on the phone.

  • In some cases, candidates may be qualified for a few different roles in a given function, and your outreach is designed to capture interest in working at your company. In this case, share a channel or the feed highlighting different teams so the candidate knows if one role isn't appealing, there are multiple opportunities you can explore together.

  • A personal introduction can be effective as well. Sharing a channel introducing yourself, the open role, and what you like to discuss in an introductory call, humanizes your outreach and immediately differentiates you from other (more conventional) recruiters.

Mid Funnel Outreach

  • Sharing a Wednesday channel or video introducing the hiring manager and/or team can improve results outside of initiating contact with candidates. Sharing channels after an initial screen can increase candidates' motivation to attend and prepare for their first interview. Candidates have also shared that viewing a channel before their first interview improved their level of comfort and helped them better prepare.

  • Maintain a set of videos from team members that highlight key motivators for candidates like Work-life Balance, Career Growth, or Purpose. After learning about what motivates a candidate, send one of these videos to candidates to increase their confidence in investing time in pursuing the opportunity.

LinkedIn Outreach

  • Unfurling of the video link will happen when you add it to a post on LinkedIn or when you send it in a message to a 1st degree connection.

  • When sending messages or Inmails to people that are not 1st-degree connections, the link will not unfurl so you will need to be sure to provide additional context to the link in the message.

Email

  • Channel GIF works with both Gmail and Outlook. A channel GIF is a short preview of the Channel.

  • A source link to a Channel without a video preview can also be shared

  • Wednesday has observed click-through rates increase from 11% to 20% when a source link is included in an email to candidates, noting the link features videos of the team talking about the role.

Facebook & Twitter

  • Unfurling of the video link will happen when you add it to a post on Facebook & Twitter.
